    Thanks for replying.

From the beginning i may have soldered wrong, but used the 51 dongle. Will some faulty soldered wires kill the cluster instantly? And is it because of that some say that not use digiprog on volvo cluster?

I am going to buy another cluster to try on again, so all tips and advises will be appreciated.

Soldering incorrectly can kill it and I've done a few older Volvo's without a problem just check connection s inside cable 25 way plug

The plug 51 and plug 48 has a different color if your digiprog is clone.... if the digiprog is clone the wires colors is not same from the original plug 51 has ORANGE/BLACK/BROWN/RED and the plug 48 as well same color but not the same pin out of the 2 wires.... only the 12v and 5v.

I need help with Volvo v70 2005, i have solderd and colour code converted adapter 51 and also tried with 48, i get "INIT ERROR", i have check and re-checked connections but cant find anything.

Do i need to connect the dash to car and then do Digiprog?
Do i need to program the digiprog unit by PC or so before using it?

I have also tried HC12 and HCS12 both give same "INIT ERROR"

    Thanks for answer

    Yes i have a clone.
I found the colour codes, and after searching online i found some other guides that tell the colour codes original vs clone.

I used 51 as manual said but when not working i tried with 48 but still nothing, the cluster clock just come on very little. After all i installed in car and it did not work anymore, so i started to check soldering but nothing.

The biggest question is have the digiprog fried the cluster? If yes, why did that happen, was it my fault or is the digiprog not compatible with volvo clusters? And is soldering wrong cables so dangerous to damage cluster?

You can use Digiprog every time as EEPROM Programmer
You can load after read to PC and edit and send edit EEPROM file back to Digiprog and write with EEPROM clip back.

For good read EEPROM, every time desolder and read.
Dont read in curcuit EEPROM ;-)
