i have a question i have original carprog with only a few options open will this unlock all ??

Yes that DUMP will open full your device but will never be up-datable and genuine.So if you want that risk ...
I not recommand play with ORI tool.It is your choice.

Can you cut and butt, see if you can add your serial number to dump?

I think that SN is stored in crypto eeprom AT88. It is "easy" to read this chip,
but.... we must to know the password/pin to read it with success.
No brute force method - chip will be blocked after 4 attempts with bad pin.

But.... we have .bin for arm - arm communicate with crypto eeprom without problem
so maybe somebody with knowledge of arms can dissassemble the binary that we have and
extract the pin from it ?

It is a GOOD IDea for change the SN. WHY ? Because can update via internet free of charge with last version and all options, the primary condition is to obtain a full SN Carprog programmer (paid and updated) !

There are plenty of ppl that can read this chip - "we can read any at88sc chip".

What about remving one of these chips out of a ink thing, stick straight into carprog - see if it screams - or see if serial number changes to xxxxxxx etc?

Just ignore the other marked things on the photo... only eeprom has to be removed.
You can build that wiggler or this one...
