Default Cummins ISBe CM 800 Cal File

    Hello Friends

I need a cal file for Cummins ISBe CM800.
    Engine SN: 21624342

    Calibration software phase: 01050805
    Calibration time date stamp: 102904103506
    DO option: 09335
    ECM code:T90098.08
    SC option: 97161

The ecm displayed active code 111, but after I removed from engine and did a bench hookup there was no 111 code present. It was also throwing codes for all four injectors - current below normal or open circuit but these als dissapered.
It did not retain the codes as inactive but completely disappeared.

When I reinstalled it on the engine and I hooked up to insite the codes were not ther but as soon as I engaged the started to turn the engine the codes 111 and the ones for the injectors became active again

I am thinking of reflashing the ECM with a cal file, is this the right approach.

    Thanks, appreciate some help

But I was wondering why when bench testing the ECM there is no 111 code active or inactive
Insite simply does not see the 111 code, no inactive counts

    Still need some help
When you attempt to start engine, the 111 code becomes active. After you turn ignition off and turn it back on there is no 111 code. Attempt to engage starter again 111 code is there and engine will not start.

Tried another ECM and same probelm, I used the ecm on another engine and engine starts without probelms.

    Engine mounted in DAF LF45

    Your suggestions are appreciated

It's not something as simple as a weak battery? I've spent many hours trying to diagnose strange error codes on a couple engines and all it took was a battery charger.

mathura, have you tried just connecting bench harness,
along with engine & actuator ports to see if your engine
would start? may have interferance from another module.

    Thanks Mang
I plan to try that when I attend the job tomorrow, I was thinking exactly what you said, maybe some other module is interfering with the ECM or maybe I have some issues with the OEM harness.

Will let you guys know how it goes

Have you reflashed the ECM?? and if you did what was the result.

We?ve had a problem here at our HD Cummins Repair Shop and most of the time when there is an 111 active code... the ECM must be replaced.

Now you say you tried another ECM and the problem persists, but is the same code comes active in that other ECM?

That code is only activated when there is an ECM internal harware failure man.

M8, I just hope that you get that engine up and running.

The Ecm that is throwing the 111 code was installed on another engine and it started the engine and worked fine, no peobelms, no codes.

I used another ECM from a known working engine, and the 111 code is recorded on this ECM also.

Today I used a break out harness on the OEM connection and power the ECM, as soon as I tried to start the engine the 111 code appears.

It now seems as though the probelm is existing with the engine harness.

Still looking for help on this one

I think that I have made some progress but not 100% sure until tomorrow I will be able to confirm this, I am awaiting injectors to confirm my results

All four injector coils are reading infinity(open circuit)

Has anyone had this situation before
