Carprog Mcu Reflash Step by step

I'm trying to reflash mine. I read and follow all instructions here but I get that message TARGET NOT FOUND from JTAG.

Maybe it's not erased completely? To erase I first connected pin 55 to ERASE point but that didn't seem to work. Then I connected to +3.3V as I read soemwhere here and now windows is not recognizing it anymore, so it should be cleared?

There seems to be more than one way to erase the MCU:

-connect to ERASE point
-connect to ground
-connect to VCC
-connect to +3.3V

Which one is right?

Should I keep pin 55 connect to ERASE point during JTAG operation or not?

I would aprecciate the HELP!

i do like this without any problem:
Erase mcu:Connect the Carprog (with the pin 55 disconnected) to the 12v supply, wait about 5-10 seconds and connect the wire from pin 55 to VDD in Carprog,
the flash content will be erased and the Jtag option of the Mcu will be enabled now. If not work leave connected for about 3 to 5 minutes.

1-GND(for normal connection)
2- to Erase-point VDD (for erase the MPU)
3- Lift it without any connection with the PCB (for programming) .

I found the problem: the JTAG settings.

I was using this one, and it didn't work:

I reflashed my Carprog 7.28 with LIB 081105CAR001773I (is it actually 4.01?) and it seems to be working fine, no counter anymore.

My question is, can I reflash it with a different version, like the ONLINE 8.21 and LIB 150428CAR00491KW?

Does someone have a pinout to read 93c eeprom for carprog pls. I don't have a decent or standard cable.

To ensure a good ground connection to the voltage regulators..

Hi, I have carprog 8.21 and I have some problems writing by Kline (I don't try another kind of writing). I tried to writing ABS bmw E46 by Kline in bench and Dash MB Vito MC68. My carprog can read fine, but can not write! Write without errors but read again and no change!

What can I do to solve problem?

hi,it happened for me with renault dash with nec, and i close/disconnect from power the dash and repeat the work again to have good write!
so perhapes this can be usefull for you to test...
PS:it looks like there's a service-shedull that must be done in first attempt then it do the right correction in second attempt !!!

Hi My carprog was good, i wanted to flash firmware to 8.21, but my jlink can't connect to mcu "ERROR: Could not find supported CPU core on JTAG chain" , i made one mistake , solder pin 55 to erase connect that : http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/67a...4qon77yozg.jpg and connected other pin do jlink and try program , so whether it caused a microcontroller damage ?

I have same Error, cant connect to carprog..I tried all connections that I can find on forum,,in the end pin 55 is broken, paid new mcu but i get same error message..
I use china clone segger jlink ,, can someone share jlink program which one did work for you ? maybe software is not good, my program is v4.26
