In the US working units w/cables sell for about $600-$700. Ones with latest update go for as high as $1200. Its a shame but you would be lucky to get $200-$300 for it.

You may be better off selling it in parts. With the unit being bad the money is in the keys and adapters.

Dunno why they didnt just use a rechargable battery pack like they use in the modis in the solus. Alot of them were sent to the grave because of leaking battery issues.

The verus is too much money for what it is. Plus its heavy as hell.

Snapon vehicle coverage cant be beat in the US.

Playing with a Solus ultra at the moment. Very nice tool, light, lithium ion rechargeable batt, touchscreen or thumbpad navigation, and best of all no keys needed.

Time will tell how reliable it is. Already see a possible issue. The microSD card is on the top of the unit and it wont boot without it. Not only is it likely to get water in there, the slot is shaped like a funnel. so here it goes..

Tip#3 Owners of a solus ultra should cover the MicroSD and mini USB slot with some tape to protect from water.

I have had a solus ultra for almost a year now. I love it. No keys, and since it charges through the dlc i have never had to charge it. So far it has done everything i need it to do.

Love my Solus Ultra and I thankfully have a snappy dealer who takes very good care of me. Bought mine in a pawn shop missing the card for only a couple hundred bucks. New card cost me almost 1100 but has been worth it for everything I work on. Mine gets used every day on one thing or another. Next one will likely be a Launch product as long as they keep getting stronger.

Are you using the easydiag or the x431 idiag? I have an easydiag right now for quicky stuff. Been thinking about the x431 idiag but wasn't sure it was that much of a step up.

It seems this snap on tool thread is diluting into a critics forum. I agree it is over priced software but I have solus & Modis ultras I use both a lot, amonst many other tools, they are fast opperation with good graphics they work well on what they do even though they may be behind with updates compared to launch . What I would like to know is how to change the live data graphic display menu so I dont have to keep scrolling up & down my dealer states it can be done but I have not found out how yet

Yes if you buy them for the right money they are well worth having I paid 3.5k new for my modis ultra with 14.4 only 6 moths later I have seen exact same selling for ?1400 ?1800 & ?2k on flea bay, considering updates are around ?1000 a year if your buying it for less than half price when its barely a year old it should more than pay for itself especially with a scope
