if you have 5.7 clone and its bricked then why not try the 5.7.5 dumps ?
its not going to make it any worse, and if it does work, bonus

    Hello,
I see here a lot of discussion about xprog and wanted to clarify some issues that I have with it. I tried to revive an old v5.0 by changing Atmega64 chip burned somehow.
Changed the chip and programmed flash and eeprom. Tried to connect with 908AZ60 but no chance at all. After setting proper parameters I see with scope that xprog is sending the first SEC byte and is echoed by AZ60 back properly. After that communication stops. Did someone of you guys ever managed to establish connection with a 68HC908xxx ? I can read/write HC05 and HC11 on adapters properly and also HC912 (R/W both flash and eep) so there should not be a hardware issue.
Any clue to read HC908AZ60 with xprog-m v.50 clone with blue pcb? Thanks in advance.

I'm using tl866 icsp port to flash the atmega64 which completes successfully. but when I try to read and compare its content with what I just tryed to flash it's always different. should I consider the chip faulty? thx

I had the same problem with fw 5.74.... with 5.51 was all ok. all verify sucessfull done, than with 5.74 had problems... i can't remember but with 5.55 was ok for me as well, but a lots person on this forum not recomended 5.55 because is not stable fw, better use 5.51 which is more stable and support list is close for 5.55. So try with 5.51 and software from Andre .......

Me too.I could not manage fw 5.74 to work,so I downgrade it to 5.51 and it works, but there is a few problems with this version too.For example mileage for vag dashboard does not work, but almost all other things does.

I spoke one time with someone and he told me him 5.70fw is ok as well. But is hard find 5.70 firmware on internet and software which will be work without usb dongle...or maybe iam wrong so please correct me.

So think good compromise is stay with 5.51fw at the moment

replaced the atmel64 but I have the same problem, the readed flash is not as the one flashed (with the tl866a icsp programmer). plus I managed to lose the registration id and authorizations... anyone?

    edit: solved with ver 5.5.1

This Is normal my friend, dont know why but have the same and xprog works correct.

Example read dump from atmel64 and write this dump for atmel64... xprog doesnt work.

So this means like backup from xprog, flashed later not work... wierd

    But work fw downloaded from.internet
And if you see content from fw dowloaded from.internet and readed from atmel64 is diffrent as well.... sooooo
