    Default Oven tripping out

    Hi my Lamona 3212 built in oven trips out when ever I set it for grill or oven. Any ideas would be welcome

    check the bulb in the interior light has not blown first.. after than i have no idea but do recommend caution...

    I had the same problem and it was the element it was causing a dead short i replaced the element and it was fine after that

    ON TOPIC:-

    Yunk the oven out the dashboard or whatever you call it - YUNK the top off i guess there will be lucar connectors on the element - disconnect these and stuff some finest quality newspaper under them - then turn rcd off - turn oven to on - turn rcd on and see if it goes bing

    if it does then like monty python "Ahh i see you have amachine which goes bing"

    if if dont download new element off ebay.

    The thermostat is a wire that will be in the top left or right of the oven. If it's making contact with the metal hole that it goes through it will likely trip. You can move it but it's likely already needing replaced as you will find the damage has been caused from the tripping and it won't keep to a certain temp now
