Default Volvo V70/S80/S60 1999-2004 CEM Thread

    Thread for Volvo CEM 1999-2004

    Hi

my goal is to use a used CEM from scrap yard
I have tonight removed my CEM control box for Volvo V70 2003 (same on V70/S80/S60 1999-2004)
I have soldered away 28F400 and read. (see dump)
Are all the important information in the 28F400 or do I read the software from the MCU? (mc68376bgmft20)

Have read somewhere on this forum that Vin + immo is in 28F400, or?

    TB28F400_b5b.zip
Does anyone have a virgin dump 28F400?

IMMO and VIN are stored in flash. And to clone you need only contents of 28F400. No need to touch MCU.

I've looked through the 26st used CEM 99-04 that I have in my workshop and crossed the chassis number of the Volvo Vida and everyone gets the same number 30657629
Latest software for CEM 99-04 is 9438273

The question is whether software 9438273 is stored in the MCU chip or 29F-chip?
It would be very interesting if someone has a damos for CEM 99-04.

Looking for a Virgin file to this unit, please send PM

You need virgin file to adapt with vida online? Or is there a other way offline?

    HELP!!!!!!!!!

In the NEW OEM CEM direct from Volvo H/W number:30657629 there is a MT 28F400B5 and i could read the virgin file
BUT in some of the used CEM there is a INTEL TB28F400 B5B....
This both chip have NOT the same reading on my Wellon VP-498, and IF I try to read intel and MT with different configuration I DON`T get the same file!....
So.... I don`t now how to virgin my used CEM....

First there IS different CEM if you look at used on!!!

    NEW OEM CEM from Volvo
    Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 30657629 = MT 28F400B5 and MC68376BGMAB20 mask=1M43P

    Used CEM Black/Gray CEM
    1: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8645716 S/W 8688383 =INTEL TB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F65K
    2: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8645716 S/W 8676284 =INTEL TB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F65K
    3: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8688434 S/W 30657428 =INTEL AB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F65K
    4: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8688513 S/W 30682664 =MT 28F400B5 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F65K
    5: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8688513 S/W 8696035 =MT 28F400B5 and MC68376BGCFT20 MASK=0F65K
    6: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8688513 S/W 8696035 =INTEL AB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGCFT20 MASK=0F65K
    7: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 9452553 S/W 8645541 =INTEL AB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F65K
    8: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 8645716 S/W 8688562 =INTEL TB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F65K
    9: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 9494594 S/W 9494997 =INTEL TB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F71K (has 1 more chip inside?)

Used CEM Black CEM (all info in MCU, there is no Eeprom on this one)
    1: Black CEM H/W number: 8645729 S/W 8676286 = Motorola XC511301CPV8 MASK=OK75F
    2: Black CEM H/W number: 8645411 S/W 8645410 = Motorola XC68HC912D60 MASK=4F73K
    3: Black CEM H/W number: 9452773 S/W 9452772 = Motorola XC68HC912D60 MASK=4F73K
    4: Black CEM H/W number: 8696098 S/W 8679899 = Motorola MC9S12DG128B MASK OL85D
    5: Black CEM H/W number: 9494342 S/W no number = Motorola ZC443002CPO MASK 1H56A
    6: Black CEM H/W number: 8645729 S/W 8688153 = Motorola XC511301CPV8 MASK=OK75F
    7: Black CEM H/W number: 8696098 S/W 8696040 = Motorola MC9S12DG128B MASK OL85D
    8: Black CEM H/W number: 8651548 S/W 8651547 = Motorola XC511301CPV8 MASK=OK75F
    9: Black CEM H/W number: 9494342 S/W no number = Motorola ZC443002CPU MASK 1H56A

So... the black one is "clone" the best way (but IF some one has a virgin file for black CEM, please PM me!)

The Black/Gray CEM... big diffrent is INTEL and MT...
they don?t have the same reading, or?
I can just swap the chips, if an INTEL chip can I mount an MT chip?
can it make my virgin file from MT chip to an INTEL chip?

I read this chip with Willem and use only one option for all of these chips and never had any problem. Doesn't matter if its TB or not.

Also not sure if your virgin will suit for modules with different HW since there are may different ones. If you care to share virgin dump then it would be interesting to check out.

The left picture has a extra chip up to right corner of the box
    Left Cem is from Volvo S80 2.4i 5gear 2000

    Left picture ="9: Black/Gray CEM H/W number: 9494594 S/W 9494997 =INTEL TB28F400 B5B80 and MC68376BGMFT20 MASK=0F71K (has 1 more chip inside?)"

(The new original box from volvo has the same chip as the left piture)

What do this chip do, can I use the box to the right with eeprom from the left?

Just to be clear TB28F400 is FLASH not EEPROM. Unfortunately don't know if they can be reverse used.
