Exclamation problem flashing image using null modem cable

this is the first time ive attempted to flash my dbox. i went through the guide step by step, very slowley. everything was going peachy untill i put the command 'cp1.1 120000 10020000 IF8000' i waited for over half an hour....nothing happened. so i left it over night and still nothing! i gave my box to my usuall guy who does my flashing and he cant seem to send the image. is there any body who can pull me out of the shit or have i shagged my box?? pls help many thanx!

Does the box boot up if it does and you have a ethernet crossover cable you can use flashfxp to ftp the image into the /tmp folder and use the dbox menu's and remote to flash it
or if it dont bootup use both cables and IFA to flash it
if you dont have a crossover cable and thats why you are doing it the nullmodem cable only way you have typed the command in wrong
    cp.l 120000 10020000 1F8000 press enter
(***Note that this command starts CP.L and not CP.1, all lower case though***)
Wait for Done. The procedure takes about 2 minutes.

If you can network to the box it can be done in 5 mins
With a nokia and Ifa about the same, but you then need to add the bits
    With a 1 x sagem and IFA 15 to 20 mins
As long as the end result is a winner it dont matter,
    Its not a race ..................Paul

for hyperterminal u need null modem cable

for ifa dbox thru router use ethernet cable

for ifa dbox straight to pc use xover cable

if u can boot the box - reflash using ftp
