The best way is to do it on bench.
Good evening, I read all your post and sorry to contradict you all with original AVDI must only connect a boost to your vehicle battery and then rewrite your BSI must have read and saved just in case?
but AVDI opportunity to rewrite in boot mode.
by cons must have unplugged the odometer because he must disassemble it and write exactly the same value as in your BSI you will need to reread AVDI once modified and then change odometer eprom dump or registered trademark and reconnect everything works ...
I confirm and execute tests with original Avdi ... no Chinese clone ...
good work has a price ...

you can check virginizar one bsi jhonson putting in FF FF dump the entire contents of the EEPROM memory 95128, then with diagbox can go configuring this bsi in the "virgin" is what you do when you install a new newly purchased, what I have tried peugeot 307 2.0 16v, even install a v2 bsi where wearing a v5, I got the pin code through the VIN, the secret is that when programming the new pin to the Virgin bsi this match that of the one containing the ECU of the engine, makes learning secret code (pincode) indicates how many keys will then learn the program, CVA box (automatic) or manual program as the case does not start but expects to be in parking gear. deve after walking all categories ecu present setting etc etc to put right the bsi operation, you can read the status of these settings from the old BSI, this procedure retrieves a bad dump in the BSI (corrupt) or used to install resale bsi
PLEASE; SORRY;SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH!!!
please, before you read the pin, make sure you clear any store fault code in the BSI or ECU.
i don't think many of you have read my first post properly the very fact that you connect and try to read the bsi can DESTROY IT don't believe me try it for yourself it doesn't matter what precautions you take if its a bad clone the result will be the same.

I blocked Bsi Picasso c4 with FVDI.It was in boot mode tried to restore it with FVDI on desk but no succes, made it virgin nothing, tried telecoding.
Ibought SMOK BSI tool, took file that FVDI made backup and I just writed flash on JC Bsi.It was restored 100% in 15-20 min no baterry charger.Km change in Bsi works perfect with Smok tool.I recomend it for JC bsi.But Smok tool only worked on car not on table.

Why even bother with fvdi? It takes about 40 minutes via obd... It takes 10 minutes to take out bsi, and 10 more to read eeprom and put it back. 99% safe!

I do not agree my friend about the 10 min work.
Some cars are Very hard to remove Bsi , and smok does not take 40 min.
And what about doing a Car the second time, smok takes about 30 sec.
In that 30 sec you cant locate Bsi .
Good luck with your problem making machine named fvdi, buy good tool and change the problem making machine in a money making machine or better Said, time saving machine.

Sorry, i was reffering to FVDI, there are tons of posts all over the net saying that it messes up bsi... i am aware of good tools on the market but since i dont have one i like to do these kind of things safe as possible...
Hi ,
There are a lot of informations about FVDI Reading PIN on PSA/Citroen on this thread
I don' t test it but i tested key learning on 206 , VIN and PIN coding on BSI , it's work fine
Need to be very careful when doing pin reading
Thanks to all of You for this informations
Smok Psa Tool seems to be a good tool for this kind of jobs
Yes the fvdi no are all the problem in read pin bsi the original tool avdi have the same problem in the time are cloned by fvdi the trouble is the method of read this operation put the micro in one state and if the ooeration is canceled by low batery the micro no can put in normal state and you lost the bsi in very cases .in other way the x100pad have other formula for read pun and this is very securely bud you never cancel this type of process and use a batery stabiliser for your security
