M8, the pin costs about 2euro; at dealers, look for an used one and virginize it, then recode and add keys.
Even you could virginize that wont works.

    Regards.

well not in the UK dealer pin was ?20 and a new bsi ?320 the customer wanted his car back (and it was the FVDI that broke it) so the luxury of finding a used on was not an option.

    Hi,
Probably search for a second hand bsi been faster than dealers, I know was the tool trouble, but i supouse you have to earn your beans!!
We have to react fast and think about how to fix cars avoiding dealers, that?s the way.
Even If you asked for an used bsi here, some one had helped you in your area and you had saved more than half of your money.

    Regards.

yes its a joke the price for parts but the dealer had one overnight, a lesson learned do not plug in to Johnson controls BSI with fvdi unless it has a fault at least that way you can charge the customer.

the idea of this thread was to avoid the problem in the first place and to let people know what WILL happen if you try to read a Johnson controls BSI.

but how do you save it if you have already connected to it, i did it all i tried to do was read the bsi and pop it was dead there is no warning on the FVDI so if you don't read it on here or another forum you would not know.
