Unhappy DM800 can't boot into *** STOP *** mode. Corrupt flash?

    Hi all,

I'm trying to put OpenPLi on my DM800 but it gives me the invalid image error. Which, according to gjstroom, is because you need to install ssl84b and then reboot before you flash the image.

I do install ssl84b, but it never gives me the reboot option after it's done. Not in the browser, nor DreamUp. In OptiFlasher when I check 'Reboot after done' it gives me 404 not found error after flashing the bootloader.

So I guess this means the dreambox reboots by going to a special webpage (192.168.x.x/reboot maybe?). But my dreambox doesn't have that page.

The weird thing is, that when I hold the power button when booting it doesn't stops when it shows an IP-address. It just goes on booting.
Before it didn't even get an ip address from dhcp, I manually assigned one through hyperterminal.

When I connect through DreamUp or OptiFlash it goes into *** Serial Mode *** instead of *** STOP *** mode. I've never seen STOP on my dreambox led..

I managed to get the boot messages and I see a lot of errors/warnings. Is everything ok you think?

correct method is this, 1 flash the image, 2, open a 2nd browser and flash the ssl84b file , then you boot box. do not reboot the unit inbetween , the ssl84b file must be flashed immediately over the image
