db edit wont transfere the sat xml unless you change the path that its located in 14.7
its easier to transfere useing ftp prog

there is updated img posted by AL with updates added

a new satellites.xml in /var/etc folder requires the old one to be overwritten by the new one via FTP, and then a

    REBOOT

is a MUST in order for the new one to be read into memory at restart, for use by the Update Scan phase of AutoBouquets...

But better still, if you're on the latest 23/10/13 online update or updated image reflash, and your dm500 is connected to the web, then opt for Fast Mode in the AutoBouquets Wizard.

This only takes 4 mins instead of 11 mins by using a UkCvs/TC download that's maintained up to date early every morning. So it circumvents the need for a 100% kosher satellites.xml and scanning, by going straight for the jugular vein, LOL!

It's so good, that peeps whose dishes have shifted in the gale force winds in the past couple of days are using it as a 'Sat Finder' to realign their dish accurately!

Not to mention that it now fits comfortably inside an AD break, leaving you still watching the ADs, even if GetEPG automapping spits it's dummy out finding a New or Renamed channel to map during the final 2 mins, LOL!

    Cheers- AL
