Try BBA reman.com I know that the mechanical parts get bad after an while but there are no replacement parts for the com2000.
Hello,
my friend and I are looking into fixing Peugeot Comm 2000 units. We traced the problems to the IC/Chip but we can't seem to identify/find the chip:
Markings on the chip:
nec or delphi brand
g01 lg07 (f or b)
hdc com2000
Picture: imgur: the simple image sharer
Is it possible to buy souch chips? Or get more info about them? Did anyone do any repairs on the Comm 2000 units? I searched but I didn't find any useful info when you hit a wiper/blinker problems.
Thanks in advance,
oxy

Err hang on guys, it's nearly midnight on a Saturday night in the middle of winter. I susspose your expecting a DK member to magic the answer up?
Well, funny you should think that, but if ever ever find your home alone on a Saturday night with a Comms 200 which you BLANTETLY SKANKED, off a Shitroen, because
1) It has BIG silver stickers that say "BBA REMAN.TAWTS" on it
Be aware these stickers say VOID when removed, high pressure steam does help, but not advisable, if your serious
about not damaging the labels, see if you can get it hot but not hot that it destroys the sticker
2) This one has the trafficator/main beam fault.
3) There is NO VISABLE signs apart from one lug been broke that it has ever been apart.
4) The chip on this one, looks ITENTICAL soldering in the photo, except it says
DELPHI -EHS
G01LG070
HDC COM2000
0402K8A27
CONCLUSION:-
1) VERY well repaired
2) Was a software fault
3) Between the two plugs on the board is what looks like a 6 pin programming port
Can you power the unit up and measure the voltages between each pin please?
Not that i'm intrested, chances are might be ablw to read/write to the chip that's all.

will come after 3 years and post that was very busy
I can help you but only if you want me to help you
All the questions should start from what car, what year, what engine is what fuel. What are the symptoms of the problem. Only then is what you know, what fault code, live data, what you have done.

Hahaha, I must say I'm very tempted to wait some more for this to be 100% sure. In fact I have been "very busy" learning the ropes of this automotive trade - and I did have a fair share of ups and downs. But this problem/solution still eludes me. As it's quite a common problem around here (but there's almost zero information on this stuff on the internets - interesting) I have some incentive to try it again. I dusted off the test PCB I have here and will try to dig something up.
There're some problems with lack of informations regarding, what diagnostic says when this fails. If I remember correctly this is a NEC uPD78 (or uPD70) chip - and I still don't have much of an idea on how to read it. From the looks of it te 6 pin connector only has 3 pins broken out (+ GND). If I have any success - I'll report it here. Hopefully sooner than 2 or 3 years from now
Thanks for the info/help Meat-Head, very much appreciated.
