does anyone have experience cutting hu49 the blade for old Vag cars. I just noticed that there are 2 settings and the length, width is different. Can someone explain how to recognize which one is witch? I have only beating code and make model Golf MK3. Please see attached picture for reference.

I belive the last one i did was 246 in description on A5
I just pulled the plug and put in a blank and guesteimated the cut .
I know what you mean about spacing its to do with double wafer in chambers ?.

don't know realy which one is the proper cut for Golf MK3 or how to recognize which type should be used as instacode show both in the same make model and year of manufacture. I can't cut and try as this is work by postage.

Those 2 types are different from cutting a bit. Look into my previous picture from Instacode. It can be seen that first 3 pins are the same length and the rest is moved a bit.

This is the same as Ford Hu101 and I cutting normally both sides using software and then measure difference by caliper on each spot and doing code adjustment. Long time - 2 or 3 time must cut for accurate measure.

Hi Guys I noticed the same thing with my machine. It's because the tip has sharp edges and it's more cutted then original blade.(It can be seen on yours pictured) I don't know how to set up machine to adjust this as my machine cut like this from beginning. Some of the key stuck in the lock but if you soften the edges it will work.

Just replaced all the belts on mine. Order a replacement pack from a website a while back but only like 2 of the 5 were correct. Anyway belt list for X6 V8 if anyone needs.

Can anyone say where is the best place to buy a x6 v8 machine from? and also is there an "updated" latest version of this machine that has a direct drive motor instead of belt driven? or is there such a thing?

The newer ones were all direct drive motors. However these direct drive motors gave me some trouble. Either motors were faulty or some had faulty speed controller boards....
