NEW mini vu duo twin tuner dreambox hybrid !?

Right , Just came across this Twin DVBS2 tunner Mini Vu HD DUO 405 MHz CPU support original software [mini vu duo] - US$128.00 : wholesale smartphone tablet pc dvb-mix order save shipping
First impressions, not sure what to make of it, However other than the name[mini vu duo] it looks like a bigger dm800se with 2 tuners.
I remember having a discussion, a year or so ago on the topic of a possible dreambox twin tuner. Well nothing really happened in that regard. But this looks tempting[ish] Had this been around a year ago, I would have gone for it.
Obviously the solo2 is streets ahead, but for the dough, this has the potential to be a decent buy.
Has any one took a punt and got one, what are your thoughts?

Hi, these are based on the Vu Duo, as the spec is same and take its images, seen also some in different shells, these look very promising for dual tuner box and if performance is like vu duo it will be very good for the price

Tempted on this myself but i cant see any Hard drive support and without that its of no use to me

@ snakemetal , the hard drive is internal as seen in the pics.

Hi lombard, personally hope these are nothing like vu duo clones, as I had nothing but problems with the early versions upto 3.0.
I hope these are on a par with the innards of a dm800se, the only difference being a twin tuner. dm clones are generally very good ( except the psu )

I see it has the caddy but its not listed in the spec as supporting any internal HD
I see they have used the same casing as the DM800se as its probably cheaper for them to use the same cases which does support a HD
If im wrong ill buy one today
Ive submitted a question but no reply as yet on internal HD support

yes the vu duo clones had psu issues, but otherwise ran fine, its just using shell of dm800se , inside is totally different parts so only way is to get one and test, also vix image is probably the best image i used

I spoke to someone on live chat and they said it did support an internal HD so ive taken a punt and ordered one, i also ordered a solo2 as well

Hi, just ordered myself the mini vu duo , can see by pictures it takes 2.5 inch hard drive, the setup inside looks exact like the Dm800se , also fan at top should keep it cool, it uses images from vu duo and been told it takes latest official images, like blackhole 2.0.8, i myself will be trying latest vix 3.0 as i like the EPG layout and series recording, these sound great will have to test and find out
