I have an stolen and found back RAV4 Hybrid 2017 in my garage. Itīs all keys lost situation. This car has smartbox, id code box and esl. I already tried to reset smartbox (93C86) and ID code box (93C56), but without success. I believe I reset the ID-Box wrong way. And Iīm not sure, whether the key I have for this car is the right one. On sticker MR6903/2012 BA2EQ. Itīs keyless.

Can anyone of you reset my smartbox and id-code box?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Greetings MR...

    That key should be fine.

    What tools do you have?
Tango could easily ad a key, direct to your smartbox.

Posting some partnumbers, should help solving this!

Unfortunetly I have no tango. I have VVDI2, VVDI Prog and Techstream. Normally VVDI2 should do this job also, but my unit does not recognize this kind of keys. And my smartbox dump is unknown version for VVDI key tool. So resetting the ID box should be the best way for me. I can reset the Id Box with 93c46. But the id box with 93c56 is my first one. I tried to reset it with FVDI toyota, but I believe it deletes to much. The system detects 0 keys, so I have to touch with key I want to register, but no beep and error message in techstream. I tried to set only keycount in id box to 0, but with same result. No beep at all. With unmodified id box, system of course asks for master key. When I touch with key for car I hear one beep. So I think hardware of car is good. Only reset of id box is wrong. The reset of smart box is the same as all with 93C86. I‘m sure, I did it the right way. Because of situation of this car, it was stolen and found back by police, I cant be sure, whether the smart box and key is original from car. So I also virginized the smart box. This worked well, ignition on, but also same problem, I can not learn the key. Partnumbers I will post on monday.

    Thanks for your interest.

    Greetings MR...

    Tango recognized your smartbox dump:
    key pos: 1 banned
    key pos: 2 banned
    key pos: 3 good
    key pos: 4 good
    key pos: 5 good
    key pos: 6 empty
    key pos: 7 empty
    key pos: 8 empty

Have you tried to load any similar dumps in your vvdi2?
Besides that vvdi2 does not read the key.
You could have someone make and mail you the key.
Leaving all other modules as is.

Higlander 2014 after a small accident and a bad battery does not see the keys. On the panel the text "key is not recognized" and does not respond to the buttons. The Steringlock is open and does not close. In the diagnosis, S CODE CHECK have NG.
Please help me or kick me in the right direction.
    Sorry for bad english.

    Greetings MR...

It's up to you man. Each of us has our own reasoning whether it's necessary or not to put password on our file.

Yes, of course. For me itīs no problem to share how to reset the id-box with 93c56. See attachment. I think, its important not to delete to much in dump, because this car has elv. How I resetted the box is enought to teach in a used key, of course the smartbox has to be reset also. I dont know, whether this works for all cars with id-box 93c56, but for my RAV4 2017 it was the right way.
