How do I flasherase my DM 7025 ? I think there is som old crap on it. I`ve tried to push the up button when booting up after installing a new image, but nothing seems to happen.

There is an erase image on here somewhere. I'll edit my post in a minute if I can find it.

edit: Had it on my usb stick, I've attached it. I believe I downloaded it from a post by Curious123, so thanks to him too.

You should only need to use this erase image file if you are having problems flashing your box but also I think this file is only for a dm500. You will need Dreamup and a null modem cable to flash the box. When you start the Dreamup program you need to check or press one of the buttons marked 'flash erase'.

Is the flash erase in the zip file for DM 7025 or DM500. I`ve have to be sure, before I dare using it.

There is no extention on the uzipped file, it`s only a file.
Not a .nfi or a .img, so I still haven`t solved my problem. Please help me.

Some time ogo I had an erlier version of dream up, and there was a button to erase.
In the newer versions they have removed this button, why?
If I find it, can I still use it?
The earliest version I have is a 1.2, with no erase button.

That`s why I ask these questions. I`m not shure how to do it. I have flashed several image to my box, LT, Peter Pan, and almost everything I could find, to find the image that suits me best, and also it`s a nice hobby. The last 1/2 year, all different images have run unstable, I`ve even took out the hdd and have ordered a new one, since I could not format it. I`m not quite sure if I am dealing with 1 or 2 problems here. That`s why I like to flasherase my box, to start with a clean image, without any old crap.

It give you that option when you connect the box in DreamUP.

Are you flashing them to the box or multibooting them from hard disk.

Could you explain in more detail? Might be something else.

I can`t se any choice in DreamUP 1.2 and upwards. Maybe it`s because I hocked the hhtp. Do I get this option if use the slow method with the rs232 with O-modem cable ?

I flash direct to the box, no multibooting or Barry Allen here.

The images runs better without the HDD. Could not initziate it in several images, so I took it out, maybe it is damaged.
I wil put it in my PC and check it out. I am more at home on my PC, than in Linux on my Dreambox. But I`m learning a bit every day.

PS. I like this forum, quick answeres. Thanks.
