    Hello
I fitted a Z16XE engine into a Z14XE car. The Z16XE ran fine with the Z14XE ECU that was already in the vehicle.
Not the same as you are asking, but it looks promising to swap them over as both engines will run the same ECU.
Well they did in my case.

You can swap ecu then SPS it to your original VIN with tech2 THE EPROM is not changeable this is a hybrid ecu HSFI 2.1 ... if you can get pin code from used ecu reset and marry it to your vehicle change VIN and SPS it to your VIN
Today is the Tomorrow you worried about yesterday ......Was it worth it ?

Hello, turboracing, agree with you, but it depends on how the ac module works. There are 2 variamt of cooling with one or two cooling fans. So, there might be differences on the ac module and year versions. There is no difference on the hsfi 2.1 model/numbers and letters. It is the same platform on all. By reprogramming the new one/scrapyard one(clonimg flash and eeprom), you can have the same ecu as the old/broken one from your car.
