ive just bought a kryptview a780 the lad said he last had it working 2 months ago so before i set it all up if the firmware needs updating can this be done through the box it self with out connecting to the pc , also he said the firmware on the box is off the internet and not from dk will this matter, also is there any tips i should do when i first turn it on i know how too set the box up coax,bb and where i got the box is only 8 mile down the road so the channel scan should be the same, so hopefully just setup and away i go, any help will be appreciated.

first thing to do is check the firmware date [MENU-SYSTEM INFO 11112012? ] if its an earlier date box will need updating by the s/w online with remote thru the lan cable, dont touch any thing while box updates and box reboots, then factory reset/rescan from main cable feed.

Can someone tell me when i upload the firmware on to my Kryptview A750 i will need to connect the Null Modem cable and the Serial to USB cable to upload the firmware, once i have finished the steps will i then be able to find all the channels when resetting the channel or will i need to have the Kryptview box connected to the internet at all times.

are you sure you have the 750 with iconnect as its an old box as without those 2 together box is useless.box and internet connected to view channels yes.

It is 100% the KV A750 box but i was told that uploading the new firmware on to the box and then resetting the channel it will work so therefore i have already ordered the 2 cables required for the firmware upload.

So now when i upload this new firmware on to KV A750 and then scan all the channel on the TV i will be able to get the box working again without having it connected to the internet at all times.
