I was called today to help starting a 320 E46 2.0 Diesel that have its pump replaced.
The car cranks but does not start. The following are the DTCs that can not be erased.

Hello, i have dde error 42. Can you help me with this problem? I tried another injection pump, but it was with different code and engine didnt start at all. Now putted original pump back. Car starts but smoking even in idle and have no power. Pump code is 0281001827

I have the same ecu . Can i use your ecu eprom 24c04 dump with coinfig too , or do i have to send you the dump of my ecu ?

hello,
this is because the pump driver is broken, or that the pump has a different nr. If your pump for example ends with .....4005 it's a 136 bhp pump. maybe you have a mismatch ?
