    Default Linux Distro

I'm thinking of putting Linux Bodhi on a samsung N150 plus netbook.
Anyone know if it's any good, or recommend another Distro to use.??
    ps. Never used Linux before.

Hi gopher7, you can try any or most distros by downloading to a usb stick(4 gb min recommended) and run on a computer which is set in bios to start from usb port/stick.
This will give you some feel of the different distros without actually installing same on your pc. I currently have Mint cinnamon and Debian 7 (nicknamed wheezy) and of the two prefer Debian.(if you do the usb bit be careful not to install although it will run alongside windows with a choice offered at start up)
I found Ubuntu a bit much for hardware on this old XP pc.

DistroWatch.com: Put the fun back into computing. Use Linux, BSD.

Just to add, there are plenty of links and reviews in the link above, plenty videos on youtube re installing etc and lots to be found googling. Select between 32 and 64bit for your netbook.

An update:- Decided to put Linux Mint 17.1(Cinnamon) on the netbook. I'll give it a try, see if I like it.

I'm not sure if google chrome comes installed on Mint 17 but in case you decide to install Mint alone or alongside whatever is already on your netbook you can download it (Should you need it) by googling how to install etc.

It's normally a good idea to create a live usb to boot from and test the distro on your computer.
A very good ubuntu based distro is Pinguy
