    Question Chevrolet Aveo Dashboard Disassembly

    Hi,

    Can somebody guides me on how to safely disassemble this dash Chevrolet Aveo 2009. I'm stuck at the LCD removal.

    Try to remove white plastic not lcd display.

    Impossible..because the white plastic is "SANDWICH" between the LCD and the PCB.

    you have to de solder lcd to get to pcb..

    @raf0468

    Is it safe to desolder the LCD? does this terminal directly connects to the LCD glass?

    It is safe to desolder but normally the lcd is connected in a onboard socket. Don't sure about aveo though.

    Hi drpeter,

    Yes mostly I encountered LCD modules are "socketed" I tried lifting gently this one but it seems the LCD is soldered in place. I also tried desoldering few pins but the pins seems to as if melted below so I stop.

    that is the best way, I have two dashboard with broken display, it?s very easy to break
