Default USB Loader GX games chrasches, freeses, can't exit one game enter another...

Help me pls, I'm noob and I think that I've messed something up

I've bought Wii that was already softmodded but had OS version 4.2E. So somehow by following some youtube guides I've managed to update it to 4.3E. In proces I've used letterbomb tool and ModMii. Final result was that some games work and some dont, for example SM Bros and Epic mickey 1 work but COD and Epick mickey 2 does not.
In that proces also there was two USB Loader GX icons on home screen so I've uninstalled them both now but now I don't know which version I should install cause there are 3 versions: for IOS 249, 222 and 250 - which do I need?

Also in purchase there was some crappy 2,5" 160gb ext. HDD which I suspect that is causing some loading problems because some games tend to short freeze for sec or two, usually happens in pregame animations but sometimes in games also so I was thinking to format my other drive which is "WD 250GB My passport" which as I can see is marked as fully compatibile. I was planing to split in in two partitions: 1gb FAT32 for covers and other in WBFS for games

so, by reading this forum I've downloaded sysCheck19 and used it to generate this report:

    sysCheck v2.1.0b19 by Double_A and R2-D2199, Nano

Well I don't see anything wrong with that sysCheck so it sounds like you have an incompatible drive problem. I don't have epic mickey 1 or 2. There are 4 Call of Duty games only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - PAL - SM8P52 needs to be set to IOS250.

I convert WBFS games to ISO with Wii Game Converter GXS which you can Google.

    i still have problems
when wii is cold, freshly started, then all games work and I can exit one game and enter other, but after playing few games it starts to freeze. For example Donkey kong works fine on cold wii but after the console iw working for about an hour and I want to start the game, the game hangs in different ways: sometimes is starts and game home screen letters appear and music is running but theres no "press 2 to start the game" message and nothing happens when I press wiimote - it also acts dead and no lights blink or any sign of life. Sometimes I can start the game but when I choose to start the level, loading screen hangs in infinite loading loop with music just before level starts and same thing with wiimote.
Problem is that I can't reset or shutdown wii just by clicking power/reset buttons but I need to press power and hold it for forced shutdown and after powering it up same problem usually happens

so it looks like wii is somehow affected by time it is working. could it be problem due somekind of overheating?

    EDIT:
as I read on other forum, overheating causes different kind of problems. I'm so lost now why it acts as it acts

Yes the Wii console could be getting warm, do you have any genuine discs you could try if it has the same effect. The drive could be getting warm as well, how are you loading games to the drive?

it looks like HDDs were the problem. Boht are 2,5" and they get power only from Wiis USB. So I've hooked up old 3,5" External IDe drive with 80gb Maxtor IDE HDD which never turns off and I've been playing the whole day today and no problems what so ever.

I was thinking about pimping my Wii as far as it could be done so could you help me? I was thinking about spliting 200gb hdd on two partitions: one FAT32 (about 10gb) and rest WBFS. On FAT partition I would store homebrew apps, covers, duplicate nand image for savegames and roms for emulators... do you have any other sugestion? I'll be using Wii only for playing so no surfing, internet, chat or whatsoever. any suggetsion is great

I suspected you had a drive problem and USB powered drives are a waste of time as the USB port can't supply enough power. I've only heard about one passport drive working but I don't believe unless I can see it. Pimping your Wii isn't recommended if you Google it as you could brick it. Get yourself a mains powered HDD.
