mfaraj thanks alot for the latest feedback.... it is now all working as unistalled version 1.00 and with 0.99 it goes quiete well... However it got interrupted every 5 seconds for a long second hence ORB is much better without interuptions... The only difference between your software and ORB is the uploading speed...
I managed to change on orb at 448 kbps which a normal uploading speed in UK...But on your version 1.00 you can only change from 386 to 512 kbps...in your dropdown box....... maybe would be a good idea to remove the dropdown with fixed values and input thereal speed as we do for the ports...
WHo decide what encryption to use when we change the upload speed? do u have a table or can u explain... Also in your experience which one is the best encryption to use on Version 1.00 please ?
And by the way it work on port 1234 as well as 2381....
    Thanks again!

    Thanks
happy to see it works for you
really only Yesterday i discovered version number is the issue
i have four computer only the oldest can stream, after investigating i discovered that the oldest computer has vlc .99 installed and the others have last vlc 1.0.0 installed, i installed to the three computers and all now streaming well
Regarding version 1 i will not support it because it is experemental and for research and for whom want to play with codecs, encapsulation and others
i suggest the last updated version
i give three choices to select your internet speed only(low, medium and high) just to make things easy
in future versions i will add user choice to select your upload speed more accurately
interruptions are generally due to defective stream from dm500
with dm800 and other enigma 2 dreamboxes the streaming will be more better
regarding erb do not forget the guide written to work with dm 7025 which is better than dm 500 in streaming
hwoever if gives me error and ask to do something with firewall altough i put my firewall off
Process of opening webinterface and taking stream.m3u file and opening it and copy the information of stream and to save to harddisk makes it unpractical

I suppose you listen to classical music from my dream500 with just hitting second channel immediatly you start hearing it remotely very easy

I think the best and great tool for streaming is VLC and the problem faced with using vlc for streaming due to enigma1(dm500) machines and images
vlc is working perfectly with enigma2 dreamboxes to view locally on pc or remotely

What about mobiles phones? not everybody has a windows mobile handset , most have symbian os with nokia and mac with the Iphone...
Does your software stream only for wmp?
Thats another idea that if you make it work would make your software very very wanted by everybody...

    Hi
windows media player is example only but i know it works with other players but i have not tested it yet
also i did not test streaming for mobiles, but i read here that somebody succeed on streaming for mobiles from vlc
the idea the same,if you have mobile media player can handle internet stream then it will be easy to see your favorite channel on your mobile
i will search how to do that and when accomplish something i will post here

Good!.... look like you need to stream 3gp for mobiles but remember that the most used brand in europe is NOKIA with his own operating system symbian...... I will test with Orb later on as it have 3gp protocol.... many thnaks again

Sure I can speak English - I have saved the file I took from Webif as mp4 using Notepad and deleted all strings after my DreamBox IP and port 3399. Then I went to the ORB software online and did as the pdf file said but I only get a black screen.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
