    Default Multiple Homeplugs

Hey there, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on using homeplugs with a Dreambox, or rather, with multiple Dreamboxes.

I've set up some sat boxes for friends before via homeplugs, but never have I set up two or more boxes at one location that would use homeplugs. Normally I pair the two homeplugs in the kit and all works fine. A friend of mine, however, has asked me to set up two Dreambox 500s in different rooms in his house (along with a wifi 800, no problems there). From what I can tell I just need three homeplugs in this case, and pair both receiving homeplugs with one transmitting homeplug that's attached to the router? But I'm a bit confused at that point, will both Dreamboxes be able to access the router at the same time seeing as they're both basically using the same lan port on the router??

I have searched the forum and I do see people being advised that three homeplugs will suffice, but I want to make sure that the two boxes can actually operate simultaneously.

Should work fine but make sure all the boxes have a different ip address.

Ah yeah, so I just set up a different static I.P on each of the two boxes then? That makes sense alright. I usually leave them DHCP enabled and the whole - one homeplug on the router - thing was confusing me!

In that case he may go the whole hog and order a normal dm800hd instead of wifi, and I'll just use a fourth homeplug for that so that everything is on the one ethernet port. I assume that would be ok too?

should be no problem with multiple homeplugs, although its best to have fixed ip addresses and not enable dhcp, just ensure each lan ip is a different ip address (static)
