Post DUO Red Light + Power Supply

I recently bought a DUO from Fleabay the seller stated clearly that the unit was faulty and had the red light issue. So on arrival the unit looked rough, opened it up and found that an attempt had been made to replace the CAP but it had very dry joints and fell off when touched. This was replaced properly but to my dismay the Red Light issue still remained. I attempted to flash a new image that I know works on a Clone, no joy at all.

So I substituted the power supply from my clone, and hey presto, it flashed the BH 2.0.9 Image no problem, so problem was with the power supply. On examination I found the 2 CAPS in the photo were blown up and looked to have failed, so replaced those (little difficult to remove in tight spot). Reinstalled the genuine supply into the unit and now seems to be all fixed.

I also found that the PCB mounted fuse had been replaced with a wire link so took the opportunity to replace that also. It's located behind the power inlet for information.

Nice of you to post picture it may help others locate a problem although some capacitors don't look bulged when failing.

No I know that they do not always bulge, but those I replaced were definitely bulging and it fixed the Red Light problem.

Can you test the fuse in plug if ok then try post picture of the psu as it may be the culprit.
