    Default Truecode/halkyard tech

Looks like truecode and halkyard tech going to a tango like subscription format that looks like good value .

for new customers , buy the interface then pay £200 per year for all truecode and halkyard tech licences for 12 months unlimited use.

for customers with an interface and some licences , no need to buy a new interface , you still use what you own free and can pay subs for the rest if required

for customers like me with all licences you still use all licences free with no need to subscribe .

no more activation codes , so looks a positive move.

for new customers the interface is £180 then £200 a year subs for 12months unlimited on all licences , HT3 alone will pay that back in a few weeks.

rumour has it that theres some good updates comming on ht3 for 2020 plus models and more new software to follow .

what i dont know yet is whether all online or if you can continue using offline as well for what you own.

I just hope we do not loose the software we have purchased and if we buy yearly still be able to use our software module purchased offline if online subscription is not renewed yearly .

only way see Chris being successful is the software shuts down without subscription.
    Otherwise people won't bother.

    BTW £180 is too cheap

£180 my mistake , hardware £165 then annual subs £200 plus vat on each.

its an amazing deal for those without truecode and HT3 and 4 , HT3 will pay for the year in a week or 2 alone.

the way i read it is any software you own you will be able to continue using subscription free , subs only required if wanting to use the software you dont own .

we will all get a new software link for the online software , anything we own no subs needed , what isnt clear is whether we will still have access to our offline software as well or if online is necessary all the time.

but for those without HT3 the subs are a bargain , for those with little to no software its a no brainer.

if online only as it looks to be then when subs run out then access to use software you dont already own runs out too , so need an active subscription to use the software you dont own and wifi connection of course

I hope we can use all software without dongle including the truecode modules as is a pain to reactivate or move around laptops.

But not all vehicle models that are included in truecode are covered in online version? Or is the list he put up not complete?

software is very easy to follow - ford latest security regquires battery disconnect then reconnect to read bcm after alarm off >10 mins.

note will fail if battery volts less than ~12V and door latch open. Pain in the bum lost keys now
