Too many trips to that well, and you'll find yourself working for peanuts while code company is eating your biscuits and gravy!

    Hi
What amazing thread..just started in auto locksmith - have the equipment and lack the knowledge but it is nice to see that a lot of people tak the time here to help others.
What I am looking for is I have a ford transit UK model year is 2000..
Is the keycode stamped on the drivers door drain hole slot - heard it was marked with cuts on the actual shims and you can see it when you either remove the lock or scope it from inside the vehicle - owners original key is all but unreadable.

    Hi there Guys.

    Great Thread here.....

Nowadays I find many newer cars that have numbers stamped on them but these number aren't INSTACODE compatible. I found codes on Toyota, VW and others but these aren't the standard Instacode type.
Is there some "NEW" Database that the manufacturers are now running on or what?

If you strip the lock, then the discs normally have number stamped on them, or you can tell what cut they are just by looking at them. These locks are very easy to pick and decode though, so that is always the way to go.
