ok, that was early on today I was meant to have posted that, since then though I have done this >>>
Since earlier and In the meantime I went ahead a left the amp on all day and tonight too and its still on, bit scared to turn it off really as that's when I get a problem trying to put it back on (see message above this one for details).
But......although I have left it on as I said and with the volume turned down to zero, does this mean the machine will still use the same amount of electricity that it would use if the volume was turned up ?
I found a copy of the manual for the machine online and can see that it says the machine uses 360watts of electricity, I know that's a lot as my plasma tv uses a bit more than that amount too and that is expensive to run, but I don't know if they mean that's under full load E.G- volume turned up full, or if that means it will use 360watts nomatter whether the volume is set at zero or up full, I know that on standby mode it only uses 0.5watt or less, but again, the problem I am having is making me not want to put it on standby or anything, again see the post above and you will know what I am talking about thanks.
Put it this way, if I cant get this fixed myself and I had to take it to a specialist electronics place and they were going to have to charge me something like maybe ?100 for fixing it then I would rather just bin it and buy a new amp, know what I mean guys ?
If anyone out there can help me, please give me a shout as I don't know if I can afford to have this thing switched on 24/7, but I don't even know the answer to that question either like I said , got the wife moaning at me about it now (the electricity it "might" be guzzling) and everything though, the usual, .
