    Default how convert landline number to SIP -VOIP

    hi
    how to use my own land Line home number as SIP VOIP server so i use it on my smart phone
    is there adapter i can but or use computer ect ect

    thanks

    ps: i dont wanna use other number from google voice

    You need a VOIP gateway/router to plug into your phone line (rj11) in place of the phone to route your calls over rj45 and onto your network. This will then provide you with the facilities to route your ptsn telephone calls from/to your LAN devices. If you have a WAP then you'll be able to route your calls over wifi. There are some VOIP apps out there for smartphones which you'll also need. You will want to read up more though.

    Ah I picked the incorrect device there, sorry. You need a device with an FXO port.

    Sorry about that. I normally buy Grandstream gateways, but they're way over the top for home use.
