Hi there.
I have the same fault "Error while transferring data in reading" but ECU is Bosch ME1.5.5 which is present in Vauxhall(Opel) Corsa C 1.2 16V.

My kess 5.017 is china but reworked,
Actually it was just reworked, tested on 2 other ecu and worked ok.

I try this ecu read via Galetto v54(reworked) and is problem as well.



So i think is maybe my ecu not readable ....
At the moment what i read on the internet... My ecu. ME1.5.5 is present in alfa romeo as well. And there no one box can't read this ecu. To the bench as well.. Only option is writing but just overwrite.. With specially trick (pin 10 obd2 connect with Ground or 12v i can't remember now) This is like protection.... Try read more infos in the internet.. Maybe you found something

opel have bosch me1.5.5 (reading and writing by obd without problem...also with kwp2000)

M1.5.5 and ME1.5.5 is not the same ecu

I try to read the ecu via OBD from a Lancia Y 2002 (IAW 59F). I deal two matters,

first after the reading it appears a message for check sum error (i read later that needs c++, i install it but i haven't test it yet, to check if the check sum error fixed).

The second matter is that i read 3 times ecu via obd, each time needs around 35 minutes to complete the procedure and the exported file it was only 256 kb.. What is the necessary avarage time to read a ecu with KESS via OBD. Does it has any setting in order to improve the needed time?

All ecu have different time of read/write...
Like edc16c39 read -45min write-2min...
But for example - me 7.1.1 - read30min write-30min
Edc16u1 read -10min write-2min
Merc edc16cp36 - read and write around 2min...

So time isnt important...
Files for
Edc15 are 512kb/1mb
Edc16 are 1/2mb
Edc17 2/4mb

Just check with Winols is it recognized or not...

all that means fiat,it take 30-45 min to read by obd

All ecu have different time of read/write...
Like edc16c39 read -45min write-2min...
But for example - me 7.1.1 - read30min write-30min
Edc16u1 read -10min write-2min

I worried that the my kess had problem.

One more quetion. my clone has green pcb (not eu version). Is ir worthly to reworked it, due to many components are defferent in comparison with the original? Except components replace do i need to reprogramming the npx processor? (note that i will not change version, my kess has allready 5.017).
