Kess V2 Harware Rework - FREE SOLUTION!

I'm a first time buyer - for personal use. I narrowed down the options for KESS red from:
Aliexpress; "EU" version, cheapest, most reliable and biggest site, but super slow delivery + tax?

eobdtool co uk; EU version / SE137-C1, photo has buzzer, slightly more expensive, still from CN - tax
cartool co uk; EU version / SE137-C1 but no buzzer in photo (old stock image?), UK WAREHOUSE SHIPPING?!

I'm inclined to go with cartool mainly to avoid tax accidentally calculated against a four figure sum of the real thing... Would you say it is a legit site and decent buy please?

The car I intend to do some work with is 07 VW EOS BMM engine (DPF and EGR mods for a start). Maybe Jag XF 2.7D (remapped) tweaks at a later date.

Eos ok with red china , jaguar never tested! Not all the red ar ok , aliesxpres is ok , search for obdobd2 seller sometimes sell ok tool !

yep, i confirm, the RED KES from aliexpress works fine, dhl delivery was really fast... click click=> knock knock on the door... unfortunetale DHL=VAT in 99% cases.

Yesterday tested my new Kess with internet connection!
Works very fine on edc16 & 17 ecu thru odb
No rework done on the Kess
I will order also the Ktag soon (i will make my own frame thru aloy milliing)

thanks for you feedback, i test it too with boot mode on edc17cp14 and benzin med17.5 , no problem to do backup! works fine !

Hi did you also read it with the bootloader adapter?
I test it this evening but i have no power on the end of red wires (tricore cable), kess give good voltage read but no output (no ecu connected for testing)
Also the adapter with red led doenst burn, i use and good and stabel power supply

I think your bootloader adapter ora not ok , test kess on obd , if all ok on OBD then you have a adapter Problem !

I test it this evening but i have no power on the end of red wires (tricore cable), kess give good voltage read but no output (no ecu connected for testing)

i did it like this , with a power supplier set on 12V, connected to the bootloader adapter, worked fine, for edc17cp14 and med17.5, you saw the voltage on ksuite?

I think your bootloader adapter ora not ok , test kess on obd , if all ok on OBD then you have a adapter Problem !

I have try Kess thru obd several days ago (edc16c34) and had no problems reading and writing.

Hi thx for your reply, i tested it not connected to an Ecu. Only connected to Kess and my powersupply.
I put my voltage meter on the red and black wires and start to read without ecu connection and there comes no voltage out
Can you try this once? without connection to an ecu?

hi, yes i can do it , if you start reading without ecu you should have error message .

Yes i know, but normally i should get power to the red wires and ground, i put also some leds on know

i haven't the same bootloader , mine has no led.
