Thanks for the replies. All the ones that show a price are coming up at £600+, which may be worthwhile for a professional tuner, but I'm a hobbyist who just likes to tune my own cars.

Good Tool costs money, if you want to have good tool then pay the price , if not buy from China with 80 usd , you asked us good supplier for EU tool , we have given you the best of them, Eu tool cost always around 850 Euro !

Good reworked tool ,kess and ktag work as same as “eu clone” for the half of money!

Ktag not all of them, I have personally one ktag reworded by the book ,work prefect but dont do correct checksum on any edc17 , read and whrite work like a charm

Of course it depend of who made rework!i also saw bad reworked as well bed EU clone .

Rework made by me , it is not the first one , as I say no problem after rework with hardware, it is one software problem ,I repeat only edc17 not correct checksum rest all perfectly

why dont correct checksum on edc17?

i made many and many edc17/med17 with 2.23 china and no problem with checksum

I can not say , read and whrite perfectly tested on many edc17 cp 04,cp14,cp20,cp46 no problem at all ,but without correcting checksum with win ols none of this car startet, only one Audi start ,but motor dont run ok , I don know why , I think missing something in software , but I am not werry good at software because so card is encoded !

I beleive it is problem with bed readed files, but ... can be bed driver too.
Anyway what you talking about “eu clone “ or china reworked?

Hi Guys,

i read the whole Thread but still have one question.

The Thread started in 2015 and my kess and ktag arrived yesterday. I am asking myself If the rework posted in 2015 is still the same for my pcb.

Would you please have a look on it and tell me which parts needs definetly a rework to have a good working kess/ktag?

I appreciate your Help.

Hi everybody
I have Kess 4036 and when i start it i have message to connect to net after 9 programmation.
I reset it with sd card file but i have all in gray.
Please help .
