Hi guys, I'm having some problems cutting a mercedes a mercedes hu64 with my condor. Its not the mini, but think support would be the same & this thread is more active than the condor support thread.

Basically the blades I cut wouldnt work & didnt look the same. I tried a few things & couldnt get it to work. I ended up going to another shop & they cut it & it worked. I then read the key he cut & cut from that & my cut key worked too. So obviously condor mis having trouble reading the original key but is ok with reading the key the locksmith cut......I just dont know why

attached is a pic of the 3 keys.

    the top one is the original-condor read as 1 3 2 2 3 1 3 5 5 3
the middle one is the key that condor cut from the original-when I read this in the condor it reads the same as the original
    the bottom key is the one the other shop cut & it reads 3 2 2 3 1 3 5 5 3 3-this opens the door

I can see that the bittings are all moved up 1 space on the key that works. but as I said, when I read the working key in the condor it reads & cuts ok. I'm thinking there is an issue with the decoding on the condor. can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Use search in D.K. This has been discussed before.
In your cutting condor menu, you will find more then 1 type of hu64.
Only 1 is in the decoding section.
Go look for the hu64 cutting options.
Get a caliper, and look for the firts and last cut position. So you wil know what type you have.

ahhh ok rob, thanks for your reply. You are exactly right, I hadnt looked in that section. Most of the ones I've done prior have just decoded & cut ok, but now I see where I've gone wrong. thanks for your reply

    It is a VA8
    A va6 is 6 cuts, this va8 is with 8 cuts.
    It is in the menu.

You could use a va2 blade.
Now pay attention!!!! A to short blade, will not work!
After cutting, first try blade in ignition lock. Only then you insert it in the remote.

    Toyota extended.jpg

A original keys, blade holder, is extended, giving some extra room between keycoil, and remote.
A xhorse or keydiy remote, blade holder, is not extended.

If you have the code, use that.
Or use the universal duplication option, internal 4 track.
    It works well on these.
