VVDI PROG

There are several ways to erase D80 or D160.

D80 and D160 can be erased by using the 16 pin IC socket on VVDIprog (selection D80 or D160)
If you select D80 or D160 adapter, you need to have the special M35080/ D80 adapter PCB with DB25 connector.

I've tried using the M3080/D80 special adapter and the 16 pin spring loaded socket selecting appropriate option.
Both times it, once click erase inc it shows on bottom "trying" with a percentage next to it, then i end gives the error message.

need some help regarding about delphi immo read ..... i useing the vvdi prog ... follow all the diagram.. i can read out the file ... but i cant do the pin calculator...when i do the pin calculator .. it show me file format error

If the immoox is this model, 01336569080.
You should read the 93c56 eeprom, not the motorola flash.

Today I've done a 080d0wq using the adapter and worked well..

You erased inc area too.
I can read no problem, but not working to erase first 32 byte

Maybe pin no touch..

Ok, on adapter i tried with the spring socket and by solder. Both times gives the crack error, so not sure why it isn’t working. I have some opel corsa d dash here, maybe tonight i’ll try with one-off those and see what happen.

I’m not really sire exactly how that area is secured maybe its something
To do with being from BMW why not working, if they have some secure code or something.

Yes tried soldering, sure all legs were connected good, i can try again and use my magnifier to double check all connections good

The one I done today was an astra h dash..
BMW usually I do it with r270.

On that astra I've tried r270, ups and xprog.. None worked.
Bought the adapter for vvdi and worked just fine,first time.

I've just removed 080DOWQ from corsa D inst cluster and using adapter it read ok, and erase inc worked ok too. Gives status in bottom box saying crack success, So i guess with VVDI prog there is some problem in cracking BMW chip.

erm... hi all i would like to ask... how to update this tools?? i though this tool no need to update .. u just need to install the software then everything should be ok.... but pass few day i try to read out the file for delphi 48 immo ... keep reading error... and i bring it to mine friend to read it out whit his vvdi prog his reading everthing is ok....but mine tool reading is eror... i just bought this tool recently and dunno how to update it.. and i download the software online .. 4.7.4 i open that program upper right got a logo for update ... i press it and wait for so long ...is just show comunication with server fail(3)...

No, the manufacturer occasionally releases software updates to make improvements / add more functionality / fix bugs etc...

Personally i'e never actually used the upgrade function in VVDI prog software. When new software is available the download link is usually posted into the forum.
With other VVDI tools the update function is no good, and have to use the "Xhorse upgrade kit" software to update the device firmware where it's necessary (the computer software update details will tell you if a device firmware update is actually required) - i've not got a link readily available for downloading this but chances are you'll find the link on our sellers website.
I think V4.7.4 is latest software anyway, unless new version released i the last week or so.

What version software is your friend using? It may also new worthwhile asking your friend to help guide you how to update the software. May be easier being shown practically.

Have you tried the device with any other chips, is it working ok? All your solder connections were good?

Hello Guys!
I have a vvdi prog over 1 year or more, now just faced with the "Device error, please check USB driver".
Only red led stays on, nothing more.
I used the device on both my laptops before without any problem, tried to change drivers and so on, nothing seems to help, i have even tried to update firmware as a last chance but after update file 2 starts update fails.
somebody know what the hell i should do to make this thing working again?
