I asked this question a while ago, and I'm asking it again now that I see this update.


I am having problems with MCU 70F3426 from a VW brand VDO board.
This micro is protected for reading and writing but according to the VVDIPROG instructions I should be able to do the following:


Click the "Chip Erase" will unlock the chip and erase all data in the chip!!!
If the dialog info is "Reading...(0%) Read Error"
It means the chip is encrypted and can not read data


The problem is that I cannot get the READ ID since it searches for frequencies and does not find the correct one and gives a frequency error.
I want to identify it and then delete it and I can't do it.
Can someone provide a solution to the problem?

In circuit, set voltage 4.5 to 5.0V
If it still skips the frq, set it manual.

If it fails, try a more direct connection to the pins.

VVDI Prog 5.1.2 -> 8-OTHER -> LandRover ->RFA_SEC(9S12XEQ384)(ADAPTER) , when unlocking chip get a Chip crack failure, this is when using the XDPGSOGL cable with the Landrover KVM no solder adapter.
The same adapter works fine when using Mini Prog.
Chip ID is C483

issue still present in latest release, if you have a test rfa/kvm then please check

You can buy the battery from almost every electronics shop but it is not easy to replace it - if you leave the device without battery it gets erased. Better to use Xhorse support for this operation.
And no - USB cable or 12V PSU will not help. You must provide constant voltage on the soldering points of the battery while the replacing procedure is underway.

Yeah, I forgot that USB cable will work during the change. But if Xhorse catch you you have been trying to replace the battery they will probably make you buy a brand new device.
