Hi guys, I have all vvdi Tools and I want to ask you Do you know if I can change mileage on MB W212 with MB BGA TOOL and on AUDI A5 (2010) change mileage with VVDI2.

Try lower voltage in vvdi , I think your dash use 3.3V

I can not test anymore but i was lucky the code was written in the beginning the last bytes where all FFFFFF. So I could do the job. Next time i try to lower the voltage.

VVDI MB Tool can't change mileage. It can only programm keys, work on ESL, virgimeze ECU and TCM and other immo functions. It doesn't work with the instrument cluster.

Use normal voltage mode. change the range of osc 40000

i got a vvdiprog for testing and i have some trouble with it.

device error check usb driver

- Tested sw: 4.4.4 or 4.6.7
- FTDI driver: 2009-10-22 (the recommended one)
- The updater recognize the prog and it's able to read serial and version (it's 2.0, no need to upgrade)
- When unplugged the prog totally : no device detected or something
- Win7 x32 run as admin
- only the red led light

my steps to solve this:

- Ftdi unistaller, another driver from the driver folder 2016-02-02driver.exe = not working at all
- Ftdi unistaller latest FTDI driver = device error check usb driver
- xp sp3, everthing again = same results
- win7 x64, everything again = same results
- win10 x64, everthing again = same results
- different usb ports, different cables including powered usb cable, different machines
- with external power (12v) and w/o

The prog is working with the owner pc (win7 x32, he using the old 2009 driver)

any idea, advice?

I have this problem with my friend vvdiprog.


The prog is arrived to him and not working, he contacted his reseller sent a video..etc and nothing relevant just BS. (Try again) I think he already started a paypal claim.
Today i got my vvdiprog and working with the same settings, so this problem is 100% HW related.

When mcu os crypt need to reset security and after write set it again FF
When mcu not crypt message is FE and after write need go to set security and put in FE or just write and leave like this.
Ive done only crypt . Saw video where read porsche not cryp mcu ..512vag. And there not set securitu after write.

The wiring instructions make it all clear

very strange what you wroted for experience....
i have vvdi mb tool and vvdi prog almost 2 years and both units work like charm...have still all original cables incl IR adapter, nothing come died or stop working self...

thats normal....next time check first your steps and then after complaining.. mostly 99% of all faults are on users side...bad soldering, use bad cable...etc...
but it must be appreciated that you have admitted your faults...this many people not did !!

Feedback to Samic: Cannot read D70F3358 MCU also in connection information RXD and TXD should be switched places! Did the job with Orange Prog "china clone" in seconds! After success with Orange tried again with VVDI Prog and FAILED!
Please look into this!

friend, checked VVDI PROG diagram its correct. VVDI PROG made the 'transmission' /'receive' relative to this chip. but for VVDI PROG there are also with 'RXD'/'TXD'.
in fact the chip 'RXD' same PIN is 'TXD' , they are opposite. but maybe other devices the PIN and connection write same.
