is the file actually named as a m3u file because a m3u file is simply a list of web addresses for tv channels when you open it up, i have had a php file which is a single web address for iptv channels which when loaded says it was successful but no channels.
there are free lists on the web such as....https://sourcetv.info/usa-uk-iptv-m3...kodi-27052017/ you can try the file from here as long as you rename it as WebTV it will load but not guaranteed to work for very long but worth a try.

I downloaded the M3u list from here https://www.iptv4sat.com/download-iptv-england/. once I had it on my computer I renamed it WebTV.m3u. put the file on USB stick then put USB stick into my openbox V8S.

    on openbox V8S:

    Menu
    Local Network Settings
    Network App
    WebTV
    Green button (DELETE ALL)
    Yellow Button (READ BY USB)

That's it you can select what ever channel you want and it works

well mine is working but after 22seconds of playing it freezes and I need to re-select the channel to get it to keep playing.

Does anyone know of any solutions that can stop it freezing? its like I need the constant loop function if I was watching it on VLC player

    Cheers
