    i find it on mouser.com but chip cost self 50 cents, shipping cost 20 euro !!

    i had another carprog main unit as you all know they break... all my others one's were reworked... so had the same issue couldnt read 24c and some motorlla mcu - change for HC125M not (D)

    done mine last week works fine now..

    got mine from fleebay uk next day delivery

    In my case change for 74HC125M doesnt help. Still cant read or write HC08. I dont know what is wrong.
    24C and 93C works OK. Does anyone schematic have?

    Maybe im doing something wrong. In carprog choose 2J74Y and flash. But the address and size is same like in eeprom! It must be set manualy? And what about security?

    In your case, 24c was solved by switching to 125m?

    Yes 24C was solved by swtching to 125M. Hc08 can read only eeprom part, but flash part cant.

    Just in finish to flashing the mcu, I broke my atmel pin :@

    With an brand new atmel chip, is it the same procedure? Just put in pcb and flash the file? Thanks
