how does copy 48 function work? Does it only work on passat B6/CC id48?

from 2008 with EDC17.
Tried to make key under passat key learning, and tried under read EDC17 in ECU menu too. Logs attached.

EDC17 read CS and MAC never worked with VVDI or VVDI2, in past updates they said it was fixed, but they never got fix .
So if you have EDC17 you need to pull CCM out ,Only MED17 will work.
EDC17 will read only Pin.

This function is really not worth anything.
You have to have 6 bytes CS form ECU and working key to be able to do it and it has to be pay with points every time you use it.
If you have 6 bytes CS and working key , then you can adopt key in 1 min. Id48 is very cheap now less then 2 euros .
