Nothing complicated, I taught, let's get my mew VVDI2 tool and do this verry simple job. So, I connected the VVDI2 to the OBD2 port, inserted the allready existing key into the key slot, turned ignition on and clicked Connect on my VVDI2 4.7.0 app. I vas surprised to get "AutoDetect Failed!" error so I checked connections and clicked Connect again, same error. Than I taught maybe it is not able to detect the CAS, no big deal, so I selected the "OBD2 KWP-E6X,E9X........" and clicked Connect again, this time it was "Readin Data Failed!", and so on for every protocol taht I've selected. Than I went ahead and undated the software and firmware to version 4.7.5 that is the last version, but no change. Long story short my VVDI2 can't connect to CAS2, did anyone have this problem and can help me resolve it? I'm adding 2 photos of what is happening! Thank you verry much!!!
Checked and works. Even with last ftdi drivers. You have to check that drivers DON'T LOAD VCP DRIVER.

What do you mean by "DON'T LOAD THE VCP DRIVER"? I have to specify taht if I connect the CAS directly on bench it works great, so I wouldn't be sso shure it's a driver related problem M8. Thank you!!!

Same as for adding key, the only difference is that at some point you have to disconnect the BCM2 power and reconnect it. Just google "A4 8K all keys lost" and you will find a ton of videos about the matter, some are made with AVDI, but you should hve no problems understanding the procedure. There are some with VVDI2 aswell. Regards!

Lucky you you can read it on bench... Can you explain me how?

About the vcp driver. In 2011 version in ftdi driver properties you will have one checkbox that tells "load vcp driver" that makes load a COMPORT driver, you have to have it UNCHECKED. Try and post results...

And tell me how you succeed on read CAS on bench, if you have it, please explain, because my CAS plug doesn't work, and I checked all connections, maybe one is missing... But I don't think so...

I made my own cable. I'll upload photos of the pinouts, that way you can check your cable!

I would recommend take out BCM and read BDM file with VVDI2 BDM cable . Then load file, make dealer key and learn keys .

Mate, did you watch any video about the procedure? It is a really simple job, when the VVDI asks you to disconnect the BCM, you go to the right side of the trunk and disconnect the 2 connectors shown in video for 5 seconds and recconect them, after that you go on with making dealer key and progermm it to the car. Regards!!!

I have another issue! I programmed a A4 8K key to the car, it made the dealer key succesfully and added it to the car, the car starts with no problem, but the remote doesn't work. Same keys programmed with FVDI work fine. Anyone had this problem???
