Hi I do them audi,s with clone digiprog 3 v4.94
Read and change km on of the ignition few times then cluster dies. Unplug take out key and restart procedure from beginning. Ign on plug in redo km reads 0km enter new km u want and bam cluster activates again and changes to the new desired km ignition on off as tool says and that's it. I've done plenty of them specially 2007 to 2010 a3audi,s could be 11 as well. Never had one issue doing it that way.

Hi Guys, just small update on my problem, some used vagdash to code keys supplied by dealer, dealer could not code keys, vagdash corrupted cluster. started doing all funny things all warning lights started coming on cluster stayed on with ignition off. I dumped cluster with Xprog put into service mode, that gave me obd access to cluster it then put in vin and cluster serial no cs, Coded keys, only have steering angle sensor fault now, and TPMS light.
