I compared the data in my 95320 with other dumps that i had saved from other jobs and others from off here, and it all looked much the same apart from the keys etc. so i installed my new ccm with autologic but it was exactly the same.

Over the next days with many phone calls to autologic help desk, i managed to eventually get it to work and adapt in the new esl/elv with the original keys.
When it was finally working ok i removed the 95320 and read it and it was very nearly identical dump to what i had started with, with the orig ccm unit which i read in the first place to get the pin to adapt the new esl.
So i decided that the failure must have been in the flash data, caused somehow by the failure of the esl.

Looking back i'm sure that with autologic help, i could of probably done the same job to the original ccm and it would have been fixed. I couldn't write the new flash file to the orig flash chip because it was different chip in the new ccm.

So hence my advice to others to let the dealers fit and program the new ccm without the old unit being there at all.
This is really important info you gave out here. If you do wrong on one of these. Huge amount of money - out of the window.
If changing just the micro switches on the steering lock could sort out the error. It would be the best way to get out of this mess. I guess it would not work each time. But worth a try.

Unfortunately in my case the micro switches are not the problem. They work fine. Something else went wrong with steering lock. Switches and motor are ok but lock has lost all communication with immobiliser. That is why it went to dealer for new lock, but they could not code a new lock. I will ask on Pin code thread for Pin and see what is next.

I tried adaptation using pin Whiskeyman gave me on Pin code request thread.
    Got the following;
Controller refused the key Error 35: Invalid key
    next try
Controller refused the key Error 12: Subfunction not supported or invalid format
    next try
Controller refused to send a seed Error 12: Subfunction not supported or invalid format
Tried many times. Always get one of the above errors.
    anyone got any ideas?

CCM module can be updated by ODIS-E . Updating module could solve some problems with steering lock.

Do you know if it is possible to fit used ccm? Some people say yes, some say no.

Update: Swapped eeprom 95320 into used CCM with same part number. No luck. Fault exactly the same, car start still blocked by immobilser. Any suggestions welcome.
Yes I have already thought of setting it on fire.

    full set from scrap yard??

if you do this, then read all modules data and write to old units, just to see if it will work.

swapping the eeprom from a unit with 00003 defective fault code on to another second hand unit fixed the problem OK?
I have a passat here that was bringing up a steering lock fault etc, fitted and coded a new steering lock but the car has come back with the same problems.
I'm now thinking its a fault with the CCM and was wondering if just swapping the eeprom to a second hand unit will sort it or if the fault lies in the eeprom being corrupt?
Sorry to jump on this thread!
