Its possible on the bench (if you have dash,keys and ecu you can make the set a starter (plug en play).

I did today mount a new tricore tc1796 mcu on a pcr2.1 and write flash in to the new mcu.

(I did unlock eeprom to read oem mcu)

I mount ecu in car and get immo fault...

Any as having info how to get round this?

You mean you put a brand new tricore in this ecu?
There is immo data in the otp that should be transferred.

Yes i put a brand new tricore and write flash in to it.

In new all info is ok, and otp is not activ in the new tricore.

When writing pflash back to brand new tricore the immo info get bad...

If magicmotorsport x17 tool read oem tricore bad(?) and the fault copy to new tricore(?)

Can some one help me to tell exactly where immo is stored in pflash?

Here is immo info read from Smoke (ecu on bench)
As you see immo info is bad. (Immo ID)

Read it from dash and copy it to ecu.
That should work i quess.

Btw i remember in manual of smok it says you can wright 00000000000 and it wil be good also.

how you write flash in new tricore ?
Immo data stored in eeprom and crypt !!!

This is a Audi A3 2012 1.6TDi

I dont understand HOW eeprom and flash data get wrong...
But I think magicmotorsport x17 do someting wrong when reading flash. Or adjust something wrong in eeprom...
