Default Dell Latitude E6420 XFR bios password issue

    Hey guys,
While trying to do a firmware upgrade on my Dell E6420 XFR and I'm getting "Please enter the admin password to process with the flash:" message. Now keep in mind I have no idea I had a password on the bios so I rebooted and went to see what's going on. I was able to get in but all options were greyed out and there's an Unlock button(see attachment). When I clicked the Unlock button, it says there's an administrative password. Can some one point me in the right direction on how to clear this? I don't remember putting a password on the laptop so i'm not sure if trying to update the bios caused this or what happened. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, in advanced.

    The System Number is: G73KPQ1-1D3B

Bought it used online. I called Dell and they said I would need to do a ownership transfer before they can give the password, so I contacted the seller to get contact info that the laptop was registered to and I never received a reply. :\

I was able to get the password from an ebay seller so I'm all set.

Thanks for all who tried to help!

The only way to unlock E6420 is to edit U52 SPI flash W25Q64BV. Software and paid online solutions not working. In my situation even factory unlock password from DELL did not worked.
Password can be removed erasing bios settings blocks in flash which are stored in 600000-620000
