Help with component protection removal

Hello to all!!! I have a problem with component protection removal and hope someone can help. Today I tried to adapt a restyling dash on a 2009 audi a4 8k with no success. Connected the FVDI selected component protection, generation 2, instrument cluster, the program connected to the clster just fine and made it virgin, loaded the confdata from the 8T0 907 468 gateway 25640 eeprom but it fails to set the component protection, it says that maybe the confdata is from another car. I've tried to read the 25640 4-5 times with 3 different programmers but with no success. Has anyone ever experienced something like this???

I thinck I'm not reading the gateway correctly. I have Carprog, UPA-USB, X-Prog and Minipro. Read it with Minipro and X-prog but the files are not identical. Is the 25640AN the correct memory to read?

Update. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think thre whole thing didn't work because the cluster is from a 2013 car so FVDI can't adapt new parts, is that right??? Now the big problem is that the cluster is allready made virgin and not even ODIS can do it. Does someone know a way to make the cluster back to the non virgin status??? It has a 95320 eeprom taht I have no problem to read or write, maybe writing the dump from a non virgin cluster and adapt it with ODIS afterwards???

Hi I have used abrites avdi for it dump from gateway... After made it virgine loaded dump and its took like 10-15 min done works good.
It was 2011 audi q5 and swap cluster from 2014 model with black white display. Just yesterday I swap again cluster from 2010 but with colored screen again works well. The only no luck was with ac climate control error like yours

Unfortunately it's my tool that does not do the job properly, I tried all the scenarios, currently I have 3 clusters and 5 gateways at home, nothing seems to work!!

I know this problem if cluster was made virgin with avdi odis cant remove cp anymore.
Also i had this problem on ezs.
So it is better to use just odis and forget avdi solution.

hi mate the dump from the 25640 in gateway module must come from the car you got the dash from, otherwise it will not work. hope that helps. so if you had the gateway dump from the same car you got the clocks from maybe you have a chance todo cp or re adapt.
