Camaro ECU replacement 2014

Hi mates i got chevrolet camaro 2014 ecu damaged i am trying to replace the old damaged one with a used working one same part number same model is it possible any idea is it same as vw eeprom replacement or do i need special diagnose equipment can i do the job on bench please mates help thank u
Can we just swap the eeprom and if yes which one
