It will have taken 25 mins for the network scan on cable to generate the cables.xml before abm would work. Not that I'm questioning your superior knowledge digicon
Like hadron said 10 hrs ago but I'm too old and blind to notice all the posts before opening my big gob

I suppose that would depend on which ABM you use if you use the 'Larazier C2' from the plugins then yes you do need to do a cable scan first before you do the ABM.
But the OE Alliance ABM included on images such as OpenVix,OpenATV etc.. already have .xml config files loaded and they can also be updated inside the main menu and do not require a scan beforehand.
Again i suppose it depends on which ABM version was used

Just got round to flashing the latest image.
Well the $ly Q skin has certainly changed. I don't remember seeing those $ly channel adverts on the right hand side when pressing the EPG button. I'm racking my brain trying to remember what was there before!
Also, when selecting a folder after pressing the FAV button, there isn't enough room for the full name of the channel. It was OK on the last image.

Lol, told you the skin was a total new experience, the sky adverts your on about are know as 'toppicks' you can even get a python script to change these daily, however, I won't be adding this feature to the image this will be an end user mod, as I can already see the questions appearing
Press EPG-Menu then change 'Show bouquets on Launch' to 'No' this will put it back to the original 'enter EPG when EPG is pressed' mode.
Aye, I think that is because you have 4 digit channel numbers displayed, if you look at mine below you can see the full channel name, but I'll have a play sometime and see what I can do.

I've been googling v1.5 & the middle column showing the channel name & current programme used to be much wider (see attachment). Seems like too much space is being allocated to these toppicks. Even without the channel numbers, the column is still too narrow compared to the old layout.
Looking around on other forums, I see that others have mentioned this as well. Chabs released v1.602 on 16/10/16 which reverted back to the old layout. Unfortunately, I'm no longer a member of the forum I saw it on so cannot download it.
I might go back to using the old $ly HD skin, as there's a couple of other things I miss, like the fast forward indicators X2, X4 etc. not showing, & the info bar not showing whether I'm on tuner A or B (unless I've missed those settings in the menu somewhere).

Software Update: Chabs' SkyQ skin updated to V1.603 this has the Hybrid Fav Menu layout described by Hadron above, which gives a wider layout for channel information
- SkyQ Skin updated to V1.603
- Movie Organiser updated to V2.07
- Picons updated
Updated Picon added below for those not wanting to reflash their Zgemma, just FTP to /usr/share/enigma2/picon

Didn't know about this hybrid 1.603 version. I only saw mention of 1.602 which reverted back to the old layout. Although more room has been given to the channel column, it's still not as wide as the original. I wish there was an option to not show toppicks. They just take up a lot of space that could be used for more useful information.
martin...is it possible to upload just the 1.602 skin so that I can ftp it to this image myself?

Few channel rebands for Christmas, just FTP to /usr/share/enigma2/picon
Software Update: Movie organsier bug fix, 12/24 timer option didn't work correctly, this update removes those options - this update isn't really required as by default the plugin was set to 6hrs timer
- Movie Organiser updated to V2.08
For those of you wishing to just update the plugin manually and not reflash your Zgemma the Ipk file is attached below just unzip and FTP to your Zgemma's usb storage then install via menu-setup-software management-local extension

Think this should be the last of the rebands for Christmas, just FTP to /usr/share/enigma2/picon
martin, bit cheeky so feel free to say no, but seeing how you have such a complete set of picons would you consider uploading a zip of them? It would be much appreciated.
