Will these be available over the air from the machine itself or have to be done manually?

you dont open files axp is perfect with null modem cable connected.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2RbdhH7_b4

    http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...do=file&id=426

just to add all above for the 780

850 is done by extracting file to usb tut as follows

if file is in rar format it needs extracting first by a program called winrar also in downloads under pc,copy the file to usb as per instructions underneath.[/COLOR]
and no it does not come with the box.

    flashing the box

    Please follow the instructions below

    (1) Format a usb pen drive to FAT32 on your PC first

    (2) Then get the file you have downloaded and copy it across to the usb then

    (3) Turn the box off at the back and put the USB into the front of the box

    (4) Then turn the power back on to the box when the box powers up go to the menu and select Software upgrade press ok

    (5) Then allow the box to reboot, after that you will see the cable scan option just scan as with the older box

Ps if you see on screen usb initializing all the time your USB pen has not been formatted to Fat 32

hi guys I have my Edison mini just waiting for the rf to coax connector to arrive but very interested that the 780 may have life in it yet, I am unable to access the file as it says I require a password to d/l it, anybody throw me a bone as to what it may be? also is it confirmed that an OTA update will be coming out soon?

thanks for all help up to this point

OTA ? the file posted must be flashed to box first before it can take any further updates over the net.
